Mount Cameroon Project sponsored by Land Rover.
Land Rover Netherlands together with all 20 Dutch dealers donated funds for DAM’s Mt Cameroon Project. Long Lasting Mosquito nets with training will be given to each village around the base of one of Africa's largest volcanic mountain. At the peek due to low temperatures with snowfall there are no mosquito, yet some of the wettest areas of the world lay at the base where malaria-transmitting mosquito’s thrive. In the jungles around the base, malaria rates are incredibly high and the health facilities are either run down or don't exist. Roads are incredibly poor and many communities can only be reached by a Land Rover or foot. The cheque for 50,000.00 euro was handed over by Marc Bienemann, directeur Land Rover Nederland, en Johan de Koning namens de Land Rover dealerorganisatie.
