RRI Support malaria fight SW Cameroon

Limbe based "Rig Repair International" financed malaria screening along the coastline of SW Cameroon in Njonji Village, Debundscha, Isobi and Idenau. Testing was followed up with the 3 day course, combination therapy "Coartem" to cure malaria. Long lasting mosquito nets were given along with education on the best ways to prevent malaria by sleeping under an impregnated net. The people were tested over a two day period by the DAM team working with JCI in each location. This insured everyone had the opportunity of the free test & treatment along with up to 2 mosquito nets per household. These nets can prevent malaria for up to 4 years.
